Montreal, Quebec, April 9, 2019 – Lumenpulse, a leading manufacturer of high-performance, specification-grade LED lighting solutions, has filed a multi-patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, against Insight Lighting, Inc on April 8, 2019.
Lumenpulse asserts infringement of United States Patents 9,291,334 and 9,638,381 by Insight’s “Medley InGrade – MIG” line of in-ground mounted lighting and infringement of United States Patent D693,500 by Insight’s “Pro-Spot” lights.
The lawsuit seeks injunctive relief against Insight’s future manufacture and sale of the infringing devices, and monetary damages for past sales, including for Insight’s direct sales to customers, or through third-party distributors or resellers.
“Innovation is at the heart of Lumenpulse. We invest heavily in the design and development of differentiated, high-performance lighting solutions,” says Jean Clermont, General Manager of Lumenpulse. “Protecting our intellectual property is paramount to the future growth of Lumenpulse, our specifiers, and our agency partners. Lumenpulse will vigorously enforce its patents in the courts whenever necessary to stop infringement of our valuable rights.”
