POSITION: Regional Sales Manager, Northeast OEM

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: VP of OEM Sales

 

SCOPE OF POSITION

Responsible for the development and execution of the sales plan for the assigned territory, which includes the Northeast United States (NY, PA, NJ, MA, CT, RI, NH, ME, VT, WV, VA, DE).

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for managing key relationships with OEM’s
  • Establishes professional client/vendor relationships with appropriate client personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel)
  • Identify and close new sales opportunities through vigorous prospecting for new clients and maximizing the potential revenue from existing clients
  • Provide excellent service to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Analyze the competitive position of the organization’s products and/or services and communicate findings with appropriate teammates
  • Participate in marketing activities including: representing ULT at trade shows and industry conferences, development and improvement of marketing collateral and sales programs/promotions
  • Provide management timely communication of key sales activities and important developments with national accounts and OEM’s
  • Management and control of all sales expenses (operating, travel & entertainment, promotional)
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • 7+ years sales experience in the lighting or electrical industry
  • Prior experience in technical and/or component sales preferred
