EXCLUSIVE. MUST CREDIT EDISONREPORT. EdisonReport learned on Friday that Universal Douglas Lighting Americas (UDLA) had a significant Reduction in Force. We have heard varying numbers but we believe it to be between 20 and 30 individuals. We reached out to the company and a spokesperson explained, “As you can probably tell from the name, we are going to market at Universal Douglas Lighting Americas and in such the reduction in force eliminated some duplication as well as set up our employees to focus on the growth areas we have been seeing in the lighting market.” The spokesperson emphasized that UDLA sees the value that both companies bring and will continue to integrate products together, as they have been doing the last 12 months.
