Due to the omicron variant and rising number of COVID cases, travel advisories and limitations on social gatherings have been implemented by national and local governments around the world. As such, upcoming industry trade shows have been surrounded by an air of uncertainty over whether or not they will actually happen. Light + Building 2022 is the first that comes to mind, which we had reported on earlier this month. We reached out to the show management of Lightovation, which is scheduled to be held on January 6th-9th, 2021, to see if they are facing similar dilemmas.
According to our contact, they are confident they will be able to still hold a safe event. Canadian participation in the show has been impacted by the recent travel advisory, but management is impressed by the number of Canadians still expected to attend. The show will have on-site COVID-19 RT-PCR testing with results within 48 hours.
They assured us they are monitoring how changing conditions may impact protocol. Click here for more information.
