Final Day – DOE – Solid-State Lighting Workshop Cosponsored by the IES

The Solid-State Lighting Workshop concludes its 4-day event today commencing at 11:00 AM EST. with the announcement of the DOE L-Prize Concept Phase Winner by Jennifer M. Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy.

The workshop then proceeds with a panel discussion on Taming Advanced Lighting System Complexity: A Call to Action, with an opening by Michael Skurla of Radix IoT. If you have never attended a presentation by Michael Skurla, do yourself a favor and sit in on this panel. Moderated by Ruth Taylor, PNNL, the panel consists of David Ghatan, C.M. Kling & Associates, Charles Knuffke, Wattstopper/Legrand, Brian Coddington, Chicago Lightworks, and the aforementioned Mike Skurla, Radix IoT. Discover where we as an industry are with IoT.

At 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM there will be a panel discussion moderated  by  Greg Thomson, PlanArchology with panelists, Sarah Safranek, PNNL, Michael Myer, PNNL, Kenny Seeton, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and Alexi Miller, New Buildings Institute.

The 2022 Workshop will then conclude with a panel discussion on the look at the future of lighting moderated by the iconic Mark Lien of the IES with Monica Hansen, LED Lighting Advisors, and Eric Corey Freed, CannonDesign.
