McFadden Lighting is known for customized luminaires for houses of worship, but some of their reps have been having trouble getting them to return calls and emails.
We called the main number of the over 70 year-old company, 314-773-1340, and it was immediately forwarded to a cell phone with the number 314-296-2408. The recording states that the mailbox is full. We have tried this for 3 days, and we get the same message. Our emails to the company have gone unanswered, and we have tried to reach Jay Sturgeon. His LinkedIn profile says he is McFadden’s CEO, and we have not heard back from Mr. Sturgeon.
We called and texted a regional manager, and he did not return our calls or texts.
A quick google search brings up their website as the first listing and their Facebook page as their second listing. The last Facebook page was updated in 2016. We checked their LinkedIn page and cannot tell exactly when it was updated, but their comments state that McFadden “evolved from manufacturing a limited line of specialty theatrical lights almost 70 years ago.” In the same posting, it says they were established in 1940, which could imply that the last LinkedIn post was in 2010. A lot of small companies don’t keep their social media updated, but they should at least have a working phone.
