Reports to: General Manager, Rev-A-Shelf
Position Summary: The Director of Lighting will be responsible for leading the growth and expansion of our product line that is currently sold across residential and commercial woodworking channels. While most of the business resides in the residential channel, it will be the responsibility of the Director to analyze other potential markets and to develop strategy to deliver product, services, and programs. This role will have responsibility over channel marketing, product marketing, advanced product solutions and sales.
Position responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of product management and ensure we are delivering product that the customer demands, when and how they want while timely.
- Develop annual long-term / short-term strategies
- Lead all aspects of channel marketing, in particular, residential/commercial and future markets determined to be viable avenues to expand the line.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our distribution, reseller and OEM partners.
- Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products
- Provide sales leadership regular updates on the performance.
- Develop sales team for new markets using financials to support profitable, sustainable growth.
- Direct or coordinate an organization’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
- Participate and guide in S&OP.
- Develop strategic market plan for key account customers, target customers or new market channels, and high potential customers establishing goals and targets.
- Achieve defined sales goals, metrics, and objectives.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budget, and presentations for business leaders.
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Build long-lasting, customer positive relationships while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or in a related field
- 7-10 years of relevant Lighting business experience, preferably in sales and marketing
- Proven experience improving sales productivity and results
- Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability for assembling additional technical assistance when required
- Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct research and analysis to come up with techniques for improved sales
- Proven excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in digital literacy like the MS Office suite
- Salesforce experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; talk or hear; use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone; reach with arms and hands; and stoop. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading. Light to moderate lifting up to 15 lbs is required.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
