At the IES Annual Conference held in Schaumburg, distinguished members of the community were honored with awards for their exceptional contributions to the organization and the lighting industry at large. Frank Agraz, the Past President of IES, presented three prestigious presidential awards.
Mark Lien: Mark’s dedication to IES didn’t go unnoticed as he received a presidential award in recognition of his unwavering support of the IES Mission through consistently extraordinary leadership and mentorship.
Dave Young: Dave was honored for his unwavering commitment to the success of the IES Annual Conference, especially during challenging times. His leadership has been particularly notable since he assumed the role of the chair for the Annual Conference Committee in 2020.
Liliana Gonzalez: Liliana’s efforts have been pivotal in extending the society’s outreach in South America. She was recognized for consistently delivering high-quality international educational content through the Seminario de Iluminación. Additionally, her leadership shone brightly as she took the reins of the Mexico City section, marking her place in history as its first female President.
Susanne Setteringer, a past President of IES, was celebrated for her consistent dedication and service to the society, particularly during her tenure on the Board of Directors. Her commitment has been evident in the various roles she’s undertaken over the years:
- Past President: 2022-2023
- President: 2021-2022
- Vice President: 2020-2021
- At-Large Director: 2016-2020
These recognitions not only highlight the individual accomplishments of these dedicated professionals but also reflect the spirit of collaboration and commitment that propels IES forward in its mission.
