Position: Business Development – Category Manager / Connected Products / Controls
Satco Products, Inc. seeks an individual to work in tandem with the sales and product development teams to manage and grow the company’s connected product portfolio through strategic product planning, sales training, distribution growth, and marketing initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the category via interacting with teams across various company departments to develop a product roadmap, marketing, and training content.
- Drive/develop new business via utility incentives and programs.
- Product lifecycle management.
- Outline product specification details, including market requirements, target costs, and pricing.
- Work with sales and technical teams to enhance product design, assist in the development, and launch of new products.
- Analyze and maintain market data from industry sources to measure our competitive position and product success.
- Develop product content and implement product specifications, datasheets, brochures, press releases, website information, labels, installation manuals, and other documentation.
- Further develop initiatives to support pre-sale design and post-sale support.
- Drive day-to-day development and administrative tasks.
- Travel as needed to support the business.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Connected lighting experience a plus.
3+ years of experience in the electrical and lighting industry.
Experience with strategic planning.
Leadership skills.
