Position Overview:

 We are seeking an experienced Senior Specification Sales Channel Manager to join our talented team to help us build our growing brand. You are a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of success with consultative selling into the design and architectural lighting industry working with lighting manufacturers representatives. You will provide strategic leadership and support to our sales team to promote Cooledge lighting solutions to Architects, Interior Designers, Lighting Consultants, as well as, contractors, distributors, and end users working with our network of existing channel partners. 

As the ideal candidate, you are passionate about lighting, design and problem solving and can help the market unlock the full potential of Cooledge. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership, mentorship and coaching to a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Inside Sale Managers (ISMs); fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the team. 
  • Develop and execute effective strategies to grow channel accounts business, create and solidify strong business relationships, continuous improvement of processes, and increase revenue. 
  • Work closely with the team to achieve sales objectives by achieving targets and quota for the specification/architectural channel business. 
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Managers and the Marketing Team to implement sales programs and promotional campaigns to strengthen channel partner relationships, performance management and company profitability. 
  • Build strong relationships with customers while managing and exceeding customer expectations and creating customer value. 
  • Provide strategic support to the Marketing Teams for prospecting of new business, including market and industry segmentation research. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. 
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Must be able and willing to travel (50% +/-) 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, related field, or work-related equivalent. 
  • 5+ years in the lighting industry or in architectural products company in a consultative selling and sales agent relationship position or in a National Account sales role. 
  • Proven successful experience in sales leadership or account management roles. 
  • Proven record of building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with agencies, specifiers, and end users in national organizations 
  • Driven by high degree of integrity with cultural and core value alignment to Cooledge. 
  • A self-starter who can manage complex priorities simultaneously within demanding timelines. 
  • Ability to develop advanced business planning for channel accounts including; strategy, sophisticated market analysis and customer insights and execution. 
  • Strong business acumen including proven analytical, negotiation, financial, communication program and project management, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience with CRM, forecasting, and project management systems. 
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office tools especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word 
  • Ideally the candidate will reside in Massachusetts.
