Hèmèra, a leading name in the decorative lighting industry, proudly announces its acquisition by renowned industry professionals François Renaud, Matthew Curatolo, and Nicolas Cohen. This acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Hèmèra, as the new leadership team is poised to build upon the company’s legacy of delivering innovative, high-performance lighting solutions to discerning customers.
The leadership team brings a wealth of experience, with each assuming key roles that will drive Hèmèra’s continued growth and success.
François Renaud will take on the role of Co-President. An accomplished industrial designer, François has led award-winning design teams at Eureka Lighting and A-Light and most recently served as VP General Manager of Luminis. His design expertise and leadership experience will guide Hèmèra as it continues to innovate and create exquisite, specification-grade luminaires.
Matthew Curatolo will also serve as Co-President with focus on sales and customer experience. Matt brings an extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record of sales leadership. Over the past 15 years, Matt has been instrumental in driving sales at Luminis and Eureka. More recently, Matt was part of Acuity’s sales leadership team for the Specialty Lighting Group. He will continue to focus on enhancing customer relations and expanding the company’s market reach.
Nicolas Cohen, assuming the role of Executive Chairman, will provide strategic support to the leadership team. With over 25 years of experience in the lighting industry, Nicolas Cohen founded and operated Condaz and Luminis and played a key role in the growth of The Luminaire Group (A- Light, Cyclone, Eureka, Luminis, Luminaire LED) until its successful sale to Acuity. Nicolas Cohen’s strategic insights will help Hèmèra achieve its vision and long-term success.
