This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career engineer who enjoys detailed technical work, takes ownership of documentation, and collaborates closely with industrial designers, sales, and manufacturing teams. The position plays a critical role in translating product designs into accurate, buildable, and customer-approved shop drawings, ensuring alignment between design intent and fabrication.

In addition to shop drawings, the Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to product development efforts, gaining exposure to the full product life cycle within a fast-paced, in-house manufacturing environment.

  • Create and maintain standardized shop drawing templates and systems used for customer approval and internal fabrication.

  • Translate product designs and configurations into detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks.

  • Support new product development by designing and refining mechanical parts and assemblies for manufacturability and performance.

  • Assist with thermal and structural analysis to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Respond quickly to technical issues identified during review, approval, or manufacturing phases.

  • Continuously evaluate designs and drawings for accuracy, efficiency, and manufacturability.

  • Clearly communicate technical details, revisions, and design intent to internal stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Self-motivated and eager to grow technical responsibility over time.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Proficiency in developing parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.

  • Ability to write and review technical product specifications related to the physical aspects of product design.

  • Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
