NLS Lighting Joins Schréder to Accelerate Growth and Expand Market Reach at LEDucation 2026

NLS Lighting Joins Schréder

At LEDucation 2026, I sat down with Ryan Goldstein, President of NLS Lighting, to discuss the company’s newly announced acquisition by Schréder.’

A Strategic Partnership Rooted in Shared Values

Although the transaction is an acquisition, Goldstein emphasized the relationship feels like a partnership.

He said one of the most important factors in the deal was Schréder’s commitment to the people of NLS Lighting. According to Goldstein, the executive team, production staff, engineering, operations, and broader organization are all staying in place.

Rather than changing the company’s identity, he said the goal is to help NLS grow faster and reach a new level of development within the industry.

Building on Strong Momentum

Goldstein noted that NLS has been enjoying double-digit growth year over year, making continuity an important priority.

He said the company remains committed to its existing partnerships across the industry and does not want to disrupt the relationships that have fueled its success. Instead, the acquisition is designed to strengthen those partnerships and create even more momentum.

Expanded Resources and Global Reach

One of the biggest advantages of joining Schréder is access to greater engineering, operational, and marketing resources.

Goldstein also pointed to the ability to expand internationally—an area where NLS had not previously played at the same level. He said the partnership will allow the company to bring products to market more quickly and explore new categories with greater speed.

Growing the Operational Footprint

The first major move following the acquisition was an expansion of NLS Lighting’s physical footprint.

Goldstein shared that the company recently extended its lease and is growing from approximately 50,000 square feet to 75,000 square feet, with possession of the new building scheduled for June 1.

He said the expansion is designed to ensure the company is ready for future growth and increased demand.

A Leader in Tennis and Pickleball Lighting

NLS has built a strong reputation in specialized sports lighting, particularly tennis and pickleball.

Goldstein credited company founder Bill Hine for identifying the niche early and developing customized optics that have become highly regarded by players and facilities across the country.

Today, NLS is recognized as a leader in tennis court and pickleball lighting, serving residential projects, private clubs, and sports venues.

Strong Market Performance

Goldstein said NLS continues to gain market share in a competitive environment.

He attributed that success to specification-grade products paired with best-in-class lead times—an advantage customers increasingly value in today’s market. Those strengths, he said, have helped the company continue to grow year after year.

Positive Energy at LEDucation 2026

Reflecting on the show, Goldstein described LEDucation 2026 as a strong opportunity to meet customers and agency partners from across the country in a concentrated two-day setting.

He said the event allowed for impactful conversations while also giving NLS a platform to announce the acquisition and reinforce its commitment to its rep network.

Looking Ahead

For NLS Lighting, the future appears focused on scaling what already works.

With Schréder’s backing, a larger operational footprint, growing market share, and leadership in outdoor and sports lighting, the company is positioned for an ambitious next phase of expansion.
