As you can see from the pictures, it was a great day at the SDA Showcase yesterday — lots of great products and the show was quite busy.

New industry-average luminaire EPDs reveal aluminum as a major embodied carbon contributor, highlighting opportunities for recycled materials and cleaner manufacturing while establishing a new sustainability baseline for lighting manufacturers and specifiers. About 50 people attended the webinar yesterday — Leela Shanker highlighted the key findings, and it was great to see IALD CEO Christopher Nolton as a strong supporter.

LEDVANCE’s 2025 Sustainability Report highlights progress in energy-efficient lighting, renewable energy, and ESG initiatives, including its first EcoVadis Gold rating, CSRD-aligned reporting, and a new 400 kW solar installation in France.

Diode LED has introduced OMNIDRIVE 3, a dimmable LED driver designed for COB and tight-pitch tape light, offering reliable compatibility, 60W and 96W options, less than 1% dimming, and simplified installation.

Yesterday the Dow was up 253 points, NASDAQ gained 122 — another record high. Energy Focus and Penguin Solutions were both up 5%.
