Fluxwerx, a world leader of high-performance, LED luminaires for commercial and institutional spaces, on March 26, 2019, filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the District Court for the Southern District of Texas (Houston Division), against Shenzhen OKT Lighting Co., Ltd. and OKT Lighting USA, LLC. Fluxwerx asserts infringement of United States Patent D747,539 by OKT’s LED Linear Pendant Lighting Fixtures, alleging these to be unlawful knock-offs of the Fluxwerx “VIEW” line of lighting products. The lawsuit seeks injunctive relief against OKT’s future importation and sales, and monetary damages for OKT’s past importation and sales in the United States, including direct sales to customers, through its US affiliate, or third party distributors or re-sellers.
