Regional Sales Manager – Hatch Lighting

Position Summary

Hatch Lighting, a successful US-based lighting electronics manufacturer founded in 1985, is seeking a highly experienced, entrepreneurial sales professional to grow and manage regional OEM sales in the Southeast region to lighting fixture manufacturers in the United States, primarily through the sale of our rapidly growing line of advanced LED drivers and surge protectors. The Southeastern region will include: FL, GA, AL, MS, TN, NC, SC, TX, OK, LA, AR. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting and growing current Hatch OEM customers as well as aggressively seeking out, developing and supporting new accounts within the region. Hatch is well known for providing an extremely high level of customer service and the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and deep existing relationships within the lighting industry.

Title: Regional Sales Manager – Southeastern United States
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
Direct Reports: None
Location: Tampa, FL preferred or remote home office near a major international airport in the region

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement a plan to aggressively grow sales to new OEM customer accounts in yourregion
2. Manage, support and grow existing Hatch OEM accounts in the region
3. Establish, manage and grow relationships with key contacts at OEM accounts at all levels of the organization including C-Suite, Engineering and Supply Chain Executives as well as Design, Quality and Purchasing Managers, for example
4. Develop and grow relationships with key industry partners in the lighting industry
5. Assist in the implementation and development of internal sales and marketing programs
6. Gather and share competitive product and market data
7. Continually update Salesforce with key customer and opportunity information
8. Represent Hatch at both national and regional tradeshows and conferences
9. Maintain a regional expense budget and deliver regular expense reports
10. Manage and support Hatch partners in the region (e.g., Distribution and Independent Sales Representatives)
11. Other projects and duties as designated by the CRO

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Bachelors Degree from an accredited 4-year university- Engineering degree preferred
2. 5 years minimum outside technical OEM sales experience in the Lighting Industry
3. Thorough understanding of major lighting customer classifications
4. Thorough understanding of major market channels and segments in the Lighting Industry
5. Thorough understanding of markets served and competition
6. Significant and established industry contacts and business relationships with emphasis on Lighting and Electrical Distribution, Manufacturer Representatives, Lighting Designers and Specifiers, LED Manufacturers and Other Industry Allies
7. Proven and verifiable track record of success in technical sales roles
8. Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
9. Excellent organizational skills
10. Competitive “self-starter” with ability to manage time effectively and with a minimum amount of supervision
11. Ability to work with others in a “team” environment
12. Highly competent and proficient in the use of computers and data base software, including but not limited to Salesforce, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
13. Travel 80% (average 4 days a week) for customer, partner and corporate meetings

Compensation

Commensurate with experience. Includes: Base salary, Incentive plan and Employee Benefit Program (including but not limited to: Health Insurance, Vacation, Paid Holidays, Retirement Plan and Life Insurance). This position includes a Car Plan along with reimbursement for all company approved business and travel related expenses.
