According to the below letter obtained by the EdisonReport, Philips has requested a delay in their request for an ITC investigation into various lighting companies. According to the letter, the government has granted the Philips request and pushed back the decision date to 7 NOV 2017.
We are not sure why Philips would make this move, but one idea comes to mind. Perhaps Philips is close to negotiating a settlement with one or more of the targets and these targets asked Philips to request the delay.
