Tom Burt, R.I.P.

It is with deep sadness that I share with you the recent passing of Tom Burt, Monday, April 19 in Houston Texas.  Tom was 88 years old and lived a great life.  Tom passed away from complications of COVID.  Tom was born in Tupelo Mississippi on September 27, 1932.  He attended Georgia Tech University and earned a BS & Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.  After working 11 years for the United States defense department, Tom joined Holophane Lighting where he spent 28 years from 1971 until his retirement in 1999.

During that time he worked as a Sales Representative, Regional Sales Manager and assisted in the development of many lighting fixtures in the ’80s and ’90s.

Tom’s hobbies included snow skiing, golf, hiking fourteeners in Colorado, cooking, and investing in the stock market.

Tom is survived by his wife Janice and their two son’s Andrew and Matthew.
