DarkSky International announced its 2023 award winners, recognizing outstanding contributions to preserving nighttime environments. Notable recipients include Nancy Clanton, an influential lighting advocate; Starry Skies North for community leadership; John Barentine for light pollution research; Michel Deromme, a passionate advocate in France; and Wimberley Valley for preserving dark skies in Texas. Rising stars Ashley Garcia, Quiana Lorenzo, Bonnie Peng, and Don Wong were acknowledged for their impactful advocacy. Additionally, several individuals globally received recognition for their dedicated efforts in advancing the dark sky movement.
