On the first day of LEDucation, held at the Hilton Midtown on March 19th, the Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education set up an information booth and engaged attendees with the ‘Giving Wheel’ fundraiser. This unique spin-the-wheel concept transformed into a philanthropic initiative, where each spin resulted in pledges to support lighting education.
The Giving Wheel offered donation options from $10 to $100. Dozens of people participated, but late in the day your humble editor witnessed a few spins:
