Zero Lighting Seeks New Distributor for U.S. Market After Global Lighting Ceases Operations

Your humble editor has learned that Swedish lighting company, Zero Lighting, is actively searching for a new distributor in the U.S. market. This development follows an abrupt shutdown of operations by their former distributor, Global Lighting, a provider of distribution and UL listing services for ZERO Lighting products.

A prominent U.S. electrical distributor shared insights with EdisonReport, explaining the sudden communication gap with Global Lighting. “We specified them on a project and received a quote, but when we sent in the PO on October 1, 2024, we received no response. There was no warning, no automatic reply to emails—nothing.” The distributor also reported that Global Lighting’s phone line initially directed to voicemail, but now appears disconnected, and their website is no longer accessible.

A spokesperson from ZERO Lighting confirmed the situation, stating, “From our understanding, Global is no longer operational, although I do not know the full status of the company right now. We are currently in talks with another distributor that we feel very confident about and expect to announce our new distributor by the end of November or early December.”

Stay tuned as EdisonReport continues to monitor and provide updates on ZERO Lighting’s new distribution arrangements in the U.S.
