GE Lighting will be relocating its facilities to Longmont from Boulder next month, bringing with it about 80 employees and plans to add more in 2014.
“We’re intending to grow,” said Jeff Bisberg, GE Lighting’s strategic innovation leader and site leader for the Longmont site. “The company’s on an aggressive growth rate.”
Bisberg is the former CEO of Boulder-based Albeo Technologies, which was bought out by GE Lighting in November 2012. Albeo was launched in 2004 as an LED lighting company specializing in the residential market, but it changed its business model when it began drawing focus from much larger customers, Bisberg said.
