Position: Brand/Communications Manager

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Creative Services

Position Summary:
The Brand/Communications Manager will be responsible for, developing, executing and measuring a range of integrated Marketing Communications activities to support Finelite’s core message. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a consistent brand message and overseeing Finelite’s PR and Social Media efforts.
Essential Functions:
Manage affiliations and attend local and national tradeshows
- Initiate outreach to public utility companies to develop strategic partnerships
- Develop and manage print and online advertising campaigns
- Write PR as needed for product introductions, awards, and executive speaking engagements
- Develop content rich website copy keeping Search Engine Optimization and keyword search strategies in mind
- Manage Finelite’s social media presence
- Write monthly newsletter to agents and customers
- Develop and present American Institute of Architects (AIA) CEU programs to clients
- Create and administer marketing database
- Develop tools to help outside and inside sales convey Finelite’s story to agents and customers
- Research mobile APP opportunities targeted at Finelite agents
- Develop educational programs on available rebates for product
- Monitor and report on lighting industry developments
- Travel required up to 30%
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must have a positive attitude, demonstrate flexibility, and have a passion to learn and contribute to the growth of Finelite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong product management skills
- Ability to storyboard messages for executives and creative team
- Experience in managing advertising and social media campaigns
- Ability to analyze market research results
- Presentation experience
- Experience in managing corporate brands
Education/Experience:
- 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field
- 5-years of Brand/ Communication experience. Agency experience a plus
- Lighting or Architectural experience a plus
Skills:
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
