Evolucia is searching for a strategically minded Global Supply Chain Director capable of leading the supply chain organization and positioning the organization for continued Global growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will have 15 + years Supply Chain/ Materials Management experience in a Solid State / Electronics environment. The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for guiding the global sourcing and supply chain performance on Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Position Title: Director – Global Supply Chain
Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement management, information systems or similar
- 15+ years’ experience managing supply chain teams, lean processes, data analysis and ERP systems
- Experience working global supply chain problems in solid state electronics environment
- Excellent people, problem solving, communication and project management skills
- Entrepreneurial drive and proven ability to meet stretch goals in a fast paced environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee responsible supply chain activities to ensure company goals and objectives are met.
- Develop and implement integrated supply chain strategies from demand to point of use to distribution focused on productivity and efficiency while improving service levels.
- Ensure collaboration between Supply Chain and Engineering & Marketing in new product development projects.
- Develops, initiates LEAN best practices, continuous improvement plans and metrics for each area of responsibility within the entire Value Chain.
- Execute Lean, DMAIC and DFSS projects, leading teams to address business process problems and design new processes to achieve measurable results
- Minimize non-value added steps in the Supply Chain including inter-company transactions.
- Develop and Implement Lean/Six Sigma program internally and with external customers and suppliers.
- Develop plans to manage capacity and capability of the entire supply chain.
- Ensure efficient use of company working capital.
- Lead Sales and Operations Planning activities.
- Lead Import and Export Compliance activities.
- Lead and manage all warehousing and distribution activities in support of customer service levels.
- Prepare budgets; review and ensure that appropriate financial metrics are monitored and that proper fiscal controls are in place to optimize cost savings and return on assets.
- Develop team of high-performing professionals capable of achieving company objectives.
- Demonstrates commitment to Company Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attend all safety trainings related to the job.
- Lead quarterly assessment of key suppliers and develop improvement plans with suppliers to achieve business KPI’s
- Integrate IT applications (SAP, SalesForce.com, etc.) to increase operational effectiveness, profitability and timely performance across entire value stream.
- Develops risk mitigation strategies for key commodities by developing a preferred supply base of optimal number of suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a minimum BS; Preferably MBA
