Santa Fe Springs, CA   |   April 24, 2017–Espen Technology was awarded EC&M Magazine’s 2017 Product of the Year Award for Espen’s new line of A/C-Direct (UL-Type B), double-ended LED T8 lamps. The lamps are part of Espen’s Flex line of internal driver lamps.

The new Flex DE lamps allow A/C-Direct input from both ends, for backward compatibility with single-end wiring. Flex DE lamps are DLC-listed and come in 2’ 9W, 3’ 12W, and 4’ 14W & 18W configurations. The lamps accept universal voltage at both ends (120–277VAC), and are offered in 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K CCTs. The lumen output ranges from 1100 to 2200 lumens depending on the wattage, and have lamp efficacy of 120 lpw, as well as CRI of 83. The 50,000 hour rated lamps come with a 5 year warranty to insure ROI for commercial retrofits. The Flex DE lamps work with shunted or unshunted sockets and are compatible with controls and sensors. Optically, the lamps feature frosted real glass diffusion with an extra-wide 325 degree beam angle.

According to John Clancy, VP of Sales at Espen, “Winning the EC&M Product of the Year Award is a great honor for Espen Technology.”  Clancy added, “Our new Flex DE lamps have become a very popular solution for single-ended wiring.  They allow A/C-Direct input from both ends, for fast and easy lamp upgrades.”
