Hubbell Lighting’s Indoor Products Shine Bright at LIGHTFAIR

Greenville, SC – May 27, 2014 – Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today a wide range of indoor lighting fixtures and luminaires it will have on display at LIGHTFAIR International 2014 in Booth #925. From LED downlights and suspended fixtures to arena floodlights and parking garage luminaires, Hubbell Lighting’s 20+ distinctive brands deliver limitless lighting possibilities.

“At Hubbell Lighting, we believe every customer’s lighting project deserves to shine in the best light. And the best light is lighting purposefully and perfectly suited to the customer’s needs,” said Scott Muse, President of Hubbell Lighting. “Our brands’ high performance indoor lighting solutions will take any space from dark and dull, to bright and brilliant. This year’s LIGHTFAIR International booth is something that should not be missed.”

With a slender profile smaller in both width and height than a typical smartphone, Hubbell Lighting’s transformational Lightweave™ Linear luminaire will be on display at LIGHTFAIR. With no visible frame or border, the Lightweave™ Linear uses a precision-formed light diffuser to weave light across the visual plane, placing 80% down and 20% up for wide on-center spacing. Designed to provide an unobtrusive and elegant solution for commercial, educational and civic applications, the luminaire utilizes a breakthrough application of flexible LED circuit technology with over 200 low brightness LEDs per foot, producing 4300 nominal initial lumens with greater than 90% lumen maintenance at 80,000 hours (L90).

Born out of Prescolite’s award-winning MegaLum, the company’s MegaLum Cylinder is the industry’s first high output LED fixture designed for high ceiling commercial and architectural interiors where recessed depth is not available. Delivering an incredible 12,000 lumens out of a 10” cylinder, the fixture can be surface, cable or pendant mounted and is an ideal alternative to T4 quartz and metal halide sources for ceiling heights of 20 to 60 feet.

Kurt Versen’s LED Surface Form downlight delivers an aesthetic and efficient solution for any commercial interior application. Available in medium, wide and narrow distributions, the 5” round or square cylinder features the company’s revolutionary MultiSource® LED platform. Plug and play connectors allow for field conversion to remote phosphor LEDs, PAR LEDs and MR16 LEDS and metal halides from below the ceiling. This makes the modular footprint adaptable to new technologies as they become available to the market.

When it comes to interior sports and civic arena lighting, Hubbell Lighting’s Sportsliter ArenaLED flood produces optimal television and live audience viewing, as well as low-glare light for player comfort. Uniquely, the LED flood features instant on/off capability unlike current sports arena lighting fixtures that require motorized shade options for the instant blackout effect. The individually engineered LED optics of the ArenaLED provide the highest level of uniformity and distribution to playing surfaces and minimizes wasted angles of light typically emitted by traditional sources.

Optically designed to light interior parking bays, Columbia Lighting will display its new enclosed and gasketed LXEP LED fixture. Built with design flexibility in mind, the LXEP is available in a wide range of lumen packages and color temperatures; offered in three different lengths (2’, 4’ and 8’)—all in the same family; comes standard with a wet label, IP67 and F1 weatherability rating; and is available with an optional 1400 lumen battery pack integral to housing and tamper resistant latching. The LXEP can be chain suspended or pendant mounted and is equipped with Hubbell Lighting’s exclusive wiHUBB® technology preinstalled, making wireless control easier than ever.
