Drip. Drip. Drip. More Signify Employees Out of Work

EdisonReport has learned that Signify conducted another layoff, again hitting their Sales team.    On 30 AUG, EdisonReport reported a layoff affecting five salespeople in the Northeast.   Less than one month later, we are told that seven more individuals have been laid off, again from the same region.  Can there be anyone left in the Northeast?

We reached out to the company and were told that they do not comment on personnel changes, and they referred us to the info they shared previously about aligning their organization to meet market demand.

Usually companies have bigger layoffs but hopefully, rarely.  This limits the pain and stress the remaining employees.   The remaining employees feel they made the cut and can get on with their business.  Some even have a bit more self-confidence.   As they were not laid off, their value has, in a sense, been validated.  When a company has two RIF’s within 30 days, it causes deep strife within the organization and sends a signal for associates to keep their resumes updated.

By reporting this layoff, EdisonReport is not criticizing Signify, we are reporting the news of our industry–the good and the bad.  It is unfortunate, but this layoff simply confirms the state of our industry at the present time.
