Improved Lighting Proposed Near All 100+ Cincinnati Schools

The safety of children walking near schools in Cincinnati gained greater priority Thursday.

A proposal by one council member comes after several children have been hit by cars, some fatally, in the past several months.

New lighting is being proposed by Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld for all 154 school zones in the city. Sittenfeld said the city will partner with Duke Energy to make LED lighting upgrades a priority.
