We are looking for an experienced executive to provide leadership and vision to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, people systems, and administrative/reporting procedures, in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Base Salary: $200K commensurate with experience, plus six figure performance bonus potential, Relocation package available, and stock options

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Owner and Management Team to create and solidify goals and vision for future growth of company.
  • Prepare high level business strategies and plans to ensure alignment with company vision and goals.
  • Develop and implement annual strategic initiatives.
  • Develop short-term and long-term objectives that are designed to meet strategic goals.
  • Assure that proper resources are available to achieve objectives and goals.
  • Make high quality decisions to advance the business and increase profits.
  • Responsible for operations and the strategic fiscal plan.
  • Improving overall gross margin and the reduction of business costs. This will include goals and plans around the: optimization of capabilities and groups; improving market competitiveness; establishing increasing efficiencies and general business performance.
  • Develop improved business KPI’s that reflect the current and future performance of the company. Develop a vision for the future with forecasts and plans for capital expenditure and headcount. Work closely with sales and accounting and establish future business plan scenario’s that promote greater market share and profitability.
  • Establish/drive KPI metrics for measuring operational performance including on-time delivery, warranty returns, production cycle time, quote cycle time, supplier performance, total inventory and inventory turns, COGS, COPQ, etc.
  • Responsible to motivate and communicate to cross multi-level boundaries within an organization to promote teamwork. This would include external customer interaction and building strong rapport with internal groups such as: Sales; Customer Service, Engineering; and Quality Assurance.
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
  • Direct department heads to create budgets.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  • Partner with high-level officers to grow the company, strengthen it and ensure its sustainability.
  • Build trust relations with key partners and customers to act as a point of contact.
  • Represent the company as required, including attendance at important functions, industry events and public meetings.
  • Hold business operations accountable to stakeholders and company policies.
  • Supervise top-level management personnel.
  • Keep current with new technology and industry innovations.
  • Provide support to Customer Service, Marketing, Purchasing, Fabrication and Assembly teams.
  • Plan and evaluate the performance of team members, establishing performance measures and personal developmental goals, monitor performance and provide coaching for staff.
  • Support and work closely with management team members on strategic management projects and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years in executive role or five years in other relevant senior executive position in the lighting industry
  • Undergraduate degree required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge in the implementation and monitoring of sound fiscal and operational management
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP, CRM)
