Lighting Unlimited, Arizona’s premier lighting distributor, is seeking a Project Quotations Specialist with the ability to create, direct and negotiate lighting quotations and proposal pricing for the National Account and C/I market. The ideal candidate must have in depth lighting experience, not only in lighting products and manufacturers but also the technology behind the products. They should be able to examine a lighting specification and be able to evaluate it in order to make suggestions for equal alternates, value engineered alternates, as well as possible specification improvements. Working directly with the inside sales/project management and outside sales team, this position demands excellent communication and time management skills. You will be working with multiple deadlines on various projects in several markets and report to the VP of Sales. The position is located in Phoenix, AZ at our brand new 16,000 sq foot headquarters.
Position responsibilities
- Prepare takeoffs and counts from architectural and electrical drawings
- Process sales orders, work with vendors on pricing/shipping, invoicing and quotes
- Operate as the “hub” for the outside sales team for bids and data collection
- Strong Communicator with excellent client-facing communication skills
- Team builder – Liaison between outside sales and operations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to delegate tasks and track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Attend meetings, sales events, training and conferences as needed
- Complete company provided NAILD LS-1 training
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years in the lighting industry
- Plan take off experience
- Cool under pressure
- Proficiency in typing and using a keyboard/computer
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel/Word/Etc)
