Commercial and Industrial Sales Manager for LED Lighting

To support our growth, we are seeking a RSM (LED Lighting) for Western region of USA. Candidate must be career-oriented individual with superior sales ability in the C&I and lighting channels.

Role Overview

  • Responsible for jointly agreed revenue targets and developing new relationships and educating our partners.
  • Emphasis on nontraditional lighting channels such as C&I, VARs, ESCOs, direct distribution partners and National accounts.
  • Gain understanding of regional utilities Energy Incentive Programs and utilize this in growth
  • Identify the ESCO’s (Energy Services Companies) or Energy Conservation Companies in the territory to drive growth in the channel.
  • Leverage existing and develop new relationships into new business.
  • Ongoing training on products and understanding the marketplace.
  • Update/maintain customer/channel information and sales/funnel data to companies systems
  • Monthly/Quarterly progress reporting

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed quarterly jointly agreed revenue targets
  • Target, establish, and nurture access and relationships with all external stakeholders in the channel
  • Develop and execute local and regional sales initiatives to support growth targets.
  • Understand the internal business processes of the channel and co-develop a tailored strategy to increase market share within the territories they serve.
  • Establish rolling 4 quarter revenue forecasts and goals
  • Coordinate with other internal teams, departments, and individuals to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new product development opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Actively participate in regional industry associations and related activities. Planning for, managing and staffing all sales promotion activities within the region, including trade shows, seminars, training classes, and customer-driven activities. Attendance and participation in local, regional, and (inter)national meetings.
  • Visit channel partner/customer sites to create alignment on revenue goals and other relevant activities
  • Serve as primary point of customer contact, seeking internal technical guidance and project support as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-6+ years of direct B2B sales experience in the territory for (high-bay) lighting industry
  • Availability for travel 75% of time.
  • Existing relationships with relevant channel partners and customers in the
  • Demonstrated business sales development, cultivation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, effectively communicate solutions and position the company as a solution provider.
  • Basic financial planning and solutions experience with ability to develop a business case.
  • Highly effective and successful in sales lead generation, negotiation and closing
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, interpersonal and technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
