California Lighting Sales (CLS) has an immediate need for a full-time electrical distributor sales representative for the southern California marketplace with primary focus in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardo counties.
Position Summary
The position is responsible for calling directly on electrical distributors in the southern California area for the purpose of selling & promoting Juno Lighting Group (JLG) products and services. The specific responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Bid, negotiate and close opportunities for distributor stock, flow and discretionary business
- Train distributor counter and inside sales personnel on JLG products, service and website capabilities
- Participate in distributor counter days, golf outings and other marketing events
- Recommend stocking SKU’s for high-turn stocking products
- Introduce promotions and special incentives to distributor customers
- Demonstrate and create awareness for JLG’s product capabilities to contractors, home builders, developers and other consumers
Job/Education Requirements
Education: High school degree or equivalency is required; a four-year Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years prior experience in the lighting and electrical industry is preferred
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities are primarily discharged with distributor customers in the field and to a lesser extent at the individual’s home office. Work beyond stated business hours is often required to meet customer needs during peak periods or deadlines. A motivated, organized, self-starting mindset is critical to the success of the position.
Position Requirements
A significant amount of local travel is required with the use of employee’s own personal vehicle to visit customers, events and sales/product training presentations. Employee must possess valid auto liability insurance at all times and must provide Human Resources with a copy of their Declaration page from their policy as proof of insurance. Out of town travel for factory based training required, approximately 5%.
Candidate must be able to lift items up to 25lbs.
