Experienced Project Engineer–Synergy

Successful national lighting retrofit company, in business for over 15 years, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer  to plan, direct and coordinate activities of lighting retrofit projects to ensure that goals and/or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Serve as an advisor, liaison and team member working with our subcontractors, consultants and on-site personnel to assure that  project completion dates are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Creates and commits to a project schedule based on material and labor resources
  2. Directs and coordinates subcontractors to stay within scope and schedule
  3. Responsible for all vendor procurement and management
  4. Manages internal costs to maintain project budgets.
  5. Updates projects on weekly basis for costs-to-complete, contract values and schedules
  6. Adheres to all company procedures and guidelines.
  7. Performs other project management and auditing duties as needed.
  8. Promptly and respectfully responds to customers and vendors
  9. Regularly (weekly) checks status of project financials for cash flow, coordinates invoices and follows company policy on tracking payments of invoices in a timely manner.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following;

  • Superior knowledge of CAD
  • Excellent follow through and communication
  • Problem identification/resolution and fact finding skills
  • This position demands some travel. No exceptions!
  • BS Engineering; Construction background with electrical knowledge required.
  • Lighting industry experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years Project Engineer experience required
  • Microsoft Office proficient, especially Exce
  • Must have valid U.S. Passport

Salary based upon experience.  Generous bonus and profit-sharing plan available. Position located in Westborough, MA. Local candidates only! No relocation fee provided for this position.
