Zumtobel Lighting Inc.- Highland, NY (Greater New York City Area)
We are seeking a Director of Engineering to manage the new product development and sustaining engineering teams. The NPD development will include all engineering deliverables from conception through product launch. The primary responsibilities include NPD specifications development, design (including DFMA), prototyping, testing, UL listing, pilot production run, manufacturing and field service support. This position also includes interfacing with product managers, corporate engineering, sales and customers.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Candidate must have BSME or BSEE.
- 10+ years management experience in engineering for NPD preferably in interior lighting fixture design and a portfolio of successful products.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling ProEngineer or SolidWorks
- Must know UL1598 requirements
- Have worked in an ISO or 6 Sigma manufacturing environment
- Stage Gate product development and or PMP certification is a plus
