Position Summary
An industry leading and rapidly growing manufacturer of specification grade LED luminaires based in Orange County California is once again expanding our inside staff. With over 15 years of LED experience, a loyal customer base and a growing product line, we are looking to add an Inside Sales/Quotations Specialist. You will be charged with providing presale support to sales management, independent sales representatives and end users in the selection, application and procurement of LED lighting products for both theatrical environments and architectural applications.
Qualifications/Skills
- Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and engineered drawings
- Fundamental knowledge of LED’s and power supplies
- Knowledge of basic lighting terminology, photometry and applications
- Open to flexible hours requiring occasional evening and weekend work
- Strong customer services skills
- AutoCAD and AGI skills desire but not required
- College degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Communicate with wide range of customers including specifiers, agents, and end users
- Review and evaluate project drawings and specifications
- Generate bills of materials, layout drawings and provide project quotations
- Become familiar with all of the company’s sales representatives and major end users
- Provide expert technical support to specifiers, agents and contractors
- Assist with demand planning and resource allocation
- Maintain good relations with prospective and current customers of the company
- Perform order administration including commission calculations
- Through a consultive selling process recommend appropriate lighting solutions
- Handle a variety of special projects as requested
- Occasional attendance at industry tradeshows and customer site visits
