Modular System enables LED Lighting Fixture manufacturers
Houston – Dec. 14, 2012 – LEDLinX, a common sense LED light engine manufacturer, announced today it has been awarded a Patent relating to its versatile LED products used for manufacturing LED light fixtures, by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
This patent covers the modular and scalable LEDLinX LED Light Engine family of products that are designed for luminaire manufacturers to easily produce their own LED lighting fixtures. LEDLinX is a complete Light Engine system that requires no special engineering outside of that normally required to design a traditional light fixture. This dramatically reduces the barriers to entry that traditional luminaire companies face when attempting to transition to LED lighting fixtures. More importantly, time to market is drastically reduced.
The LEDLinX technology has been adopted by a number of fixture manufacturers including those whose luminaires may be found in high profile locations such as major retailers, auto dealerships, distribution warehouses and public schools. The LEDLinX technology also received an award from the National Electrical Contractors Association.
“Receiving this patent strengthens our brand and protects our intellectual property as we continue to design our flexible, non-proprietary, light engine system that can be easily integrated into a new or existing fixture,” said Greg Barry, President of LEDLinX.
