Strategic Account Sales Manager – Northville, MI

To manage and grow Global Automotive Lighting’s customer base within NAFTA marketplace. Customer base will include automotive lamp assembly manufacturers supplying product to both Domestic and Transplant OEMs. Product Line sales responsibilities include LED & HID components and systems as well as the full line of Halogen and Auxiliary products.

We are seeking a self-motivated, high energy, results driven account manager with a proven track record of successfully selling new growth high technology products as well as mature commodity products who will position Automotive Lighting for long term growth within the marketplace.  In this role you will:

Develop relationships with key customer personnel (General Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality etc.) to ensure OSI is positioned to expand our sales base through new product opportunities.

Develop business plans and customer strategies in support of division goals and objectives in conjunction with product marketing and worldwide counterparts.

Prepare business proposals and pricing for new customer product sales opportunities.

Manage all commercial business issues within the customer base.

Assist Hillsboro marketing/quality with customer deliverables such as warranty issues, pricing discrepancies, quotations, and quality concerns in an accurate, timely manner.

Position business unit for growth by complete understanding of customer needs and clear interpretation and communication of those needs to the appropriate personnel.

Be responsible for budgeting and forecasting requirements of customer base.

Please Note:  Position will require some travel, approximately 10% – 15% (international & domestic).

 

Qualifications: 

·         Ability to prioritize and act upon many deliverables focusing on activities that maximize customer value while accomplishing division expectations on profit management and maximization of EVA.

·         BS degree in Marketing, Business, or related technical degree required. MBA degree a plus.

·         Prior experience with LED products/systems desirable.

·         Understanding of the automotive business practices and procedures required by both domestic and transplant customers.

·         Minimum of 10 years account management/sales experience, preferably within the automotive marketplace.

·         Strong computer skills with emphasis on Word and Excel.
