Dear DLC Stakeholders,
The DLC is pleased to release the final Testing Laboratory Requirements. These requirements are the culmination of months of discussion with our members, industry, and various other expert advisors and stakeholders. Numerous comments were received during the two comment periods, and each piece of feedback was carefully considered. We would like to thank everyone involved in this process for their time and effort.
Attached, please find the final Testing Laboratory Requirements:
Transition Process
The Testing Laboratory Requirements are effective immediately. Manufacturers may submit testing conducted at a laboratory meeting these requirements in support of a DLC product application at any time moving forward.
Additionally, a grace period will be extended to industry to simplify the complete transition to these new requirements. Test reports from laboratories meeting the previous requirements will be accepted on testing conducted prior to January 1, 2014. Testing conducted after January 1, 2014, will only be accepted if the laboratory meets the new requirements. Note that for LM-80 reports, this means testing started prior to January 1, 2014 will continue to be accepted if conducted by a laboratory meeting the previous requirements.
Upcoming Webinar
The DLC will host a webinar on Tuesday, October 29, at 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT to review the information in this announcement, and provide a forum for answering general questions. To register for this webinar, click here: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/367044888
