Venture Enters LED in a Big Way

All fit.jpgYour humble editor was invited to Venture’s NEMRA agent meeting today in Dallas. Ken Hawley, Venture’s VP of Sales and Marketing, started the meeting by reassuring the reps of Venture’s continued commitment to H.I.D.  “Our intent is to be the last man standing,” stated Hawley.  “As others get out of HID, our market share continues to grow.”

It was surprising to see Venture demonstrate so many LED products including:

  • Flat Panel—110 LPW
  • Two different high bay options, with up to 25,500 lumens
  • Outdoor floods with 212 watts at 25,343
  • Parking Garage Luminaire
  • Canopy Fixtures
  • Recessed Canopy—it’s a Beast.  163 watts , 15,900 in a 2 x 2—perfect for automotive show rooms.

All luminaires have 0-10v dimming capability and all outdoor fixtures have 10 kv surge protection.

In addition, they showed an IP67 rated Post top retrofit that looked pretty cool. Also, they displayed LED tubes. One line is a direct replacement (to be used with existing instant start ballast)  and a second type that bypasses the ballast.  But the most impressive T8 product is called their All Fit, which can be used with or without the ballast.  I have heard of this product from one other manufacturer but this was the first time I have seen it.  At 2212 lumens at 18 watts, it is a very impressive product.

Please welcome Venture to the LED world.
