Market Development Specialist – Eastern Region

West Coast manufacturer of lighting related products is seeking an individual with multi-regional experience in the Eastern United States to help capitalize on significant investment in new facilities and products.  The Market Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying key market partners in new and existing markets in order to facilitate rapid growth in market share and coverage.

Ideal candidate will be a lighting industry veteran looking to capitalize on relationships and knowledge in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional lighting market.    They will have a proven track record, with strong networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to successfully work within a growing organization. 

Critical Success Factors:

  • Development and execution of strategic plans to achieve market penetration targets
  • Positive relationship management both internal and external with the goal of establishing committed partnerships

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for change in underperforming markets and facilitate new partnerships to achieve growth targets
  • An understanding and ability to communicate project and product details to various audiences, customers and levels of clientele. 
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial thought process in order to drive results.
  • Completes monthly reports, updates, and special assignments on or before due dates.

Requirements: 

  • Long term sales experience with proven track record of success
  • Solid strategic planning and execution skills
  • Self-directed, ability to produce results independently
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Ability to travel when required
