Inside Sales/Account Manager/Sales Engineer–Sternberg Lighting

Excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with analytical and organizational skills who likes working with customers! Sternberg Lighting, a US manufacturer of high quality exterior decorative lighting located in Roselle, IL has a Sales Engineering position available for candidates with at least 2 years of inside sales experience.  This is NOT a telemarketing/cold-calling position!  This position provides quotations and technical support to outside sales representatives in an assigned geographical territory. 

The Sales Engineer reports to the Director of Inside Sales and Customer Service, and has responsibility for providing pricing quotations, design advice, submittal drawings, lighting layouts, and technical information to the field sales team.

Qualifications: 

 

  • 2 years inside sales experience
  • Excellent communication, organization and follow up skills
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Some college preferred

Helpful but not required:

 

  • Lighting industry experience
  • Construction project management experience
  • AutoCAD/Inventor skills
  • AGi /photometric layout experience
  • Experience with Visual ERP software is a plus!
