GE is taking advantage of the of the culture of home-tinkerers and engineers to develop new products and product capabilities.With the help of Maker and Hackster.io’s new partnership, GE has launched the “Lights for Life Challenge” at Maker Faire Bay Area. GE’s challenge calls upon engineers, makers, and designers to create LED-based lighting that solves certain home issues with the incorporation of voice command capabilities, and sensors. Entries must be inspired by C by GE or C-Sleep products.
