To our best friend, wonderful husband and father, we will truly miss your love, wit, and bigger than life personality. David Niels Johansen died suddenly on February 3, 2017.
 
Born May 2, 1956 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and raised in London, Ontario where he met the love of his life Lannie during high school at Oakridge Secondary School. They were married for 40 years. He loved to play hockey, fly fish, golf and hunt. In 1977 he married Lannie and lived five years in Calgary. In 1982 he joined his dad, Niels Johansen in Dallas, Texas running Johansen Lighting Products, and was in the lighting industry for 40 years.
 
David was preceded in death by his parents Rosemary and Niels Johansen. Survived by his wife Lannie, daughters Jordan and Mackenzie, sister Lisa Goldstone, Uncle Leif and Aunt Pauline Johansen, and cousins Shirley Welch and Eric Johansen.
 
Thank you to the trauma center personnel at Methodist Central. David’s memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., February 9, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to The Point for Charity, exclusively dedicated to the Denton State Supported Living Center, 215 Meadow Run Circle, Coppell, TX 75019.
