Cleveland Plain Dealer, Crain’s Cleveland, and The Street.com Confirm GE Story; All Credit EdisonReport for Breaking Story

The Cleveland Plain DealerRumors about a possible sale started a few months ago. And this morning, an internal email from GE Lighting CEO Bill Lacey was posted at EdisonReport.net explaining plans for the sale. The email emphasized that talks are in the early stages and that GE Lighting “could consider several strategic options.”

Crain’s Cleveland:  Today, GE formally began “discussions with buyers around a proposed sale” of the East Cleveland-based lighting business unit, according to an internal email from GE Lighting CEO Bill Lacey. The entire email was posted at EdisonReport.net this morning, and GE Lighting has confirmed that Lacey sent the email.

The Street.com.  General Electric (GE) confirmed on Thursday that it has formally started “discussions with buyers around a proposed sale” of the firm’s lighting business unit, according to an internal email from GE Lighting CEO Bill Lacey obtained by EdisonReport.net.
