SAVE THE DATE: 2019 Solid-State Lighting Research and Development Workshop

The 2019 U.S. Department of Energy’s Solid-State Lighting Program Workshops are moving to a new schedule in 2019!

The 16th annual Solid-State Lighting Research and Development Workshop will be held in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, from January 29-31, 2019. This “meeting of the minds” convenes our nation’s top lighting scientists from universities, national laboratories, and industry to share the latest on lighting science and LED and OLED technology advances.

The heart of the workshop is a poster session where researchers share updates on federally funded research and development projects. Panel discussions dissect complex science and technology issues to identify future research needs and unlock the full energy-saving potential of solid-state lighting. Registration details coming soon.

The Solid State Lighting Technology Assessment Conference, typically held in November, is planned for summer 2019. More details, and exact dates, to come later.

Note: Given the shift to a new schedule for 2019, the Department will forgo the November 2018 workshop.
