Earlier this month at the 2019 Philaments Awards & Officer Installation Dinner, the IES Philadelphia Section awarded the Meritorious Service Award to Howard Lewis.  The IES Meritorious Service Award is presented to a member in recognition of outstanding service to the Society, and who has significantly furthered the purpose of the Society continuously over a number of years in various programs and activities.

Mr. Lewis has been an IES member for 29 years and presently serves on the IES Philadelphia Board of Managers.  He has been a member of the IES Progress Committee since 1990.   In addition, he is a 15-year member of the National Lighting Bureau, and a past president.

At the ceremony, Mr. Lewis presented a check to Hayley Wynne, the winner of the Lighting Education Scholarship.  Ms. Wynne attends Jefferson University. https://www.iesphl.org/copy-of-ies-philadelphia-scholarshi
