IES Board Issues Statement on Social Media Complaint of Former Employee

Please see below for a letter from the IES Board of Directors.

To the Members, Volunteers, Staff, and Partners of IES:

The Board of Directors is aware of the allegations made on social media by a former employee who asserts that, among other things, IES engaged in financial and accounting fraud and the wrongful termination of a whistleblower.

The Board is dedicated to maintaining the high ethical and legal compliance standards that have been a hallmark of the IES.  In that regard, IES maintains a rigorous structure of financial controls intended to prevent and to detect any occurrence of fraud or accounting misstatements.  Those controls and IES’s financial statements are audited by an independent auditor on an annual basis.

Nevertheless, the Board takes all ethical accusations seriously and, accordingly, the matter has been referred to the IES Ethics Committee.  The Board will have no further comment until the IES Ethics Committee’s review is completed.
