EdisonReport is sad to announce the sudden passing of George Mueller. We have learned that he died of a sudden ruptured cerebral aneurysm that he suffered on a skiing holiday.

Ecosense has lost a friend. The lighting world has lost a pioneer.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that our Founder and Chairman, George Mueller, has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50.
George was a giant in the lighting world. He co-founded Color Kinetics in 1997 and pioneered novel ways to use LED light. As an entrepreneur and leader, he left an indelible imprint on our industry. More significant than his business accomplishments, George enriched the lives of many people around the globe. His smile lit up rooms. He had an incessant optimism that made you feel unstoppable, and joy surrounded him.
While we mourn our loss, we pursue our mission with renewed vigor.
