EdisonReport has learned that Mobern Lighting is closing their Jessup Maryland plant and selling off their inventory. We reached out to Jon Sayah, President of Saylite and Mobern. Jon explained that the plant closing doesn’t impact the Mobern Brand as production for Mobern had already moved to their Dallas facility and the Jessup property was used as a warehouse. Key individuals that were working at Mobern had moved to remote during the pandemic so will remain remote.
Jon said, “The big story is our growth in both Saylite and Mobern into a new category called Architectural Flair with some unique products to entice customers to upgrade their projects from commodities to something that provides a better experience without a huge budget increase.”
