We are seeking a Lighting Design Project Manager (PM) to help contribute to growing small business. This role requires an understanding of common lighting design practices. The candidate is responsible for the creative design, development and execution of lighting projects across a versatile variety of market types and project sizes. This role requires the use of different lighting instruments, and techniques to provide high-quality lighting content. The candidate is responsible for managing their own work, helping to mentor other team members, and contributes to design and technical delivery of lighting concepts for built environment projects. ​

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works directly with the Noctiluca team to maintain client relationships and to ensure successful and timely project delivery
  • Uses Bluebeam, CAD and Revit to create accurate and easily readable drafted plots
  • Produces lighting presentations of concepts, layouts and details
  • Graphic communication of design ideas and strategies
  • Manages project schedule, deadlines and client deliverable expectations
  • Manages internal team schedules and resources
  • Mentors other team members
  • Maintaining project binders, project logs and records
  • Organize, setup and present lighting samples and mock-ups
  • Visit project sites to effectively oversee the install and operation of lighting systems
  • Provides deliverables that meet required programming, codes and quality assurance standards
  • Travel when necessary

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Legally allowed to work in the USA
  • Team-focused individual with strong time-management and independent working skills
  • Comfortable working 100% remotelY
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Built environment/Construction industry
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Project Management experience
  • Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • General understanding of architectural process, design and construction phases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English proficiency

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 

  • Extraordinary eye for detail and creative desire
  • Ability to troubleshoot design problems through creative solutions
  • Familiarity with California Title 24 and other local lighting codes
  • Fluency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and BlueBeam
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, AGI32 and SketchUp
  • Proficiency in hand drawing/sketching
  • Daylighting Design and Analysis experience
  • Experience in both Residential and Commercial projects
